The home for documents that matter.
Dropbox and OneDrive manage files. KuduDoc manages the documents you can't afford to lose, forget or fail to prove — your marriage certificate and your lease, or ten thousand employee contracts. Signed, sealed, organised, watched for expiry, and answerable: ask it anything about what you hold.

For your drawer, and for your business.
The same problem at two scales: documents that matter, kept somewhere they can't be found, proved or watched. Start free either way.
For you
Everything important, where you'll actually find it.
Your marriage certificate, IDs and passports, the title deed, your lease, the qualifications, the policies you've never read, the licences that quietly expire. Sealed so they're provable, organised so they're findable, and answerable when you need them most.

Your documents can answer questions. Ask them.
Every document you keep here gets read, summarised and understood the moment it lands — so instead of remembering where you filed something, you just ask. The answer comes from your own documents, and it tells you which one it came from.
Ask your shelves
“I've had a burst geyser. Does my policy cover it?”
A real question a real person asks at the worst possible moment — and the answer is sitting in a PDF they haven't opened since the day they signed it. KuduDoc reads your policies, contracts, leases and certificates, and answers in plain language with the clause it came from.
It points you at the passage. It doesn't decide your claim — and it says so when it isn't sure.

It reads the dates for you
Nothing important expires quietly.
Upload a driver's licence, a B-BBEE affidavit or an Electrical CoC and KuduDoc reads the expiry date straight off the document, then reminds you at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days. You don't set anything up.*

Not every document can be e-signed. All of them can be proved.
The ECT Act still keeps wills, certain property transfers and long leases on paper — and some counterparties simply insist on ink. KuduDoc is the only platform that gives those documents the same proof, and a place to keep it.
Scan & Seal · wet-ink routing*
Sign it in ink. Seal the scan. Everyone holds the same copy.
Print the pack, sign on paper, scan it back — and KuduDoc seals that scan with a certification signature, SHA-256 fingerprint and timestamp. Every party gets the identical sealed copy. With mutual confirmation*, each one first taps "this matches what I signed", so the seal records agreement, not just an upload.
The honest part, up front: the seal proves the scan — this exact copy existed at this moment, hasn't changed a byte since, and everyone holds the same one. It does not authenticate the ink.

Free to check, always
A seal is a fact about a file — not an endorsement.
Anyone can check any sealed document at /verify, free, without an account. The result tells them precisely one thing: this exact file existed on this date and hasn't changed since. It doesn't claim the document is true, lawful, or that we checked what it says. We keep that line bright on purpose.

Three years later, someone says
“that's not what we agreed.”
Nobody thinks about proof on the day they sign. They think about it the day a tenant produces a lease with a different escalation clause, or a contractor's invoice cites terms nobody remembers. This is the moment KuduDoc is built for.

A signature is one moment. A document has a whole life.
It gets signed, then it has to be found, proved, renewed, shared and understood — sometimes years later, usually by someone who wasn't there. KuduDoc is built for the whole of that, not just the signing.
Verification
Every signature, provable — forever.
Completion locks in three independent proofs: a certification signature that shows if a single byte changes, a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file, and an OpenTimestamps anchor. All checkable outside KuduDoc — by anyone, free.

Controlled Originals
Your documents. Actually, provably, yours.
Anyone can hold a copy of a PDF. Only one party holds control. KuduDoc's Controlled Originals registry records exactly who that is — and lets them transfer it to someone else, on purpose, on record. Try the live demo. (Registry-recorded exclusive control — not a negotiable instrument.)
Don't trust us. Check us.
Every e-signature company asks you to believe their audit trail. Ours is built so you never have to — the proofs live outside KuduDoc, and they'd still hold if this company disappeared tomorrow. Here's what that means, and what we won't pretend.
The proof doesn't depend on us
A SHA-256 fingerprint is standard maths — anyone can recompute it with free tools. The OpenTimestamps anchor lives on the Bitcoin blockchain, not our servers. If KuduDoc vanished, every document we've ever sealed would still be provable. That's deliberate.
No customer logos. No invented numbers.
You won't find a wall of client logos here, or a “trusted by 10,000 businesses” banner. We're new, and saying otherwise would be the first lie. When we do publish a figure, it'll be one you can source.
Our certificate is self-signed — and we'll tell you why
KuduDoc's certification signature isn't issued by a paid certificate authority yet, so Adobe Reader shows its validity as “unknown” rather than a green tick. That's expected. It doesn't weaken the tamper-evidence by a single bit — any change still breaks it instantly — and we'd rather explain it than let you discover it.
There's no such thing as “POPIA certified”
The Act doesn't work that way — compliance is an ongoing practice enforced by the Information Regulator, not a badge anyone can issue. So we describe our actual practices in plain language instead of showing you a logo that would mean nothing.
Documents stay in South Africa. Verification data is minimised and never resold. And the full list of what we don't claim yet is published, not buried.
